Apple Streusel Bars

INGREDIENTS
Pastry
- 4 cups flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cups butter, softened
- 2 eggs, beaten
Filling
- 6 large Granny Smith apples
- 1 cup sugar
- ½ cup flour
- 1 Tbsp cinnamon
- 1½ tsp nutmeg
Directions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine all pastry ingredients except for eggs. Use a pastry blender or two forks to form mixture into small crumbs. Gently mix in eggs.
- Pour ⅔ of the mixture into the bottom of your temp-tations® 13x9 baker. Press down with your hands to form a solid crust. Set aside.
- Peel apples and slice them into ¼-inch wedges. Place in a mixing bowl along with sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg and toss to combine. Spread out over crust.
- Sprinkle the top with the remaining ⅓ pastry crumbs. Bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 1 hour. Cool completely before slicing.
