What is your return policy?
Temp-tations offers a 30-day money back guarantee. When you try a temp-tations product for 30 days and if you’re not completely satisfied, simply return it for your money back. No questions asked!
If you purchased the item from temp-tations.com, call our Customer Service team at 1-800-442-8677 within 30 days of receipt. If you bought the item from QVC, call QVC Customer Service at 1-888-345-5788 within 30 days of receipt.
Temp-tations is aware of an issue with our Warranty Registration and working to correct the problem.
In the meantime, if you need any assistance with a replacement, please call 1-800-442-8677 to speak to a Product Specialist and they will be happy to help and request some pertinent information to make certain you get the correct replacement sent out to you.
Just keep your receipt for your records, so when you call for a needed replacement, you will have the product information needed for correct replacement.
How do I return a temp-tations.com product within the 30-day return period?
If you’re not completely satisfied with your temp-tations.com product, simply call our Customer Service team within 30 days of receipt at 1-800-442-8677 to process your return and refund. We ask that you return your items in their original packaging, and make sure that the merchandise is in the same condition as it was upon receipt. We will provide you with Return Authorization information, which must be written legibly on the outside of the shipping box. To guarantee your refund, please use the shipping method of your choice with tracking or Certified Mail with a return receipt of mail.
Once your return is received and inspected, your refund will be processed and we will notify our payment processor to issue a credit to the credit card or other method of payment used for the initial purchase. If your return is because you simply do not like the product, you are responsible for the return shipping and handling costs. If the product is deemed defective, you are not. What if my temp-tations product arrives broken, has missing pieces, or proves to be defective within 30 days of receipt?
Whether you ordered your temp-tations from temp-tations.com or from QVC, if your product arrives broken, has missing pieces or proves to be defective within 30 days of receipt, simply call the temp-tations Customer Service team at 1-800-442-8677 with proof of purchase for a free replacement piece.
We will ship in-stock replacements to you for FREE, with no shipping and handling charges.
In some cases, we do require the return of damaged pieces to temp-tations at no cost to you. This is for the purpose of improving our packaging and shipping methods.
What if I have a problem with my temp-tations product after the 30-day return period?
All temp-tations products come with a limited three-year warrantee that covers any manufacturing or material defects for three years from the date of purchase. So, whether you bought your product from temp-tations.com, QVC or Amazon, should your product prove to be defective at any time within the three-year warranty period, we will replace your item at no charge.
To process any replacements under our warranty policy, call our Customer Service team at 1-800-442-8677. In some cases, we do require customers to return defective pieces, at no cost to you. This is so we can understand and address any manufacturing defects. See our warranty policy for more details.
Why is my replacement taking so long?
In most cases, we can send your replacement piece out immediately. But in some cases, depending on demand, the items may be out of stock or on back-order. If this is the case, the item must be manufactured, painted by hand, fired in a kiln, shipped and received in the temp-tations warehouse, before it can be delivered to the customer. This process can take up to 6 months, depending on many factors, including the complexity of the product, Customs inspections and overseas shipping schedules.
When you call, our Customer Service representatives will notify you of the estimated delivery date, so you have a better understanding of when to expect your replacement. If you would prefer not to wait that long, or if the piece you need replaced is retired, our Customer Service team will offer you an in-stock replacement piece of comparable value (which may include items in different patterns and/or shapes, but with the same functionality).
What is crazing? Is it covered under the warranty?
For those who aren’t familiar with the term, crazing is what happens to stoneware when the ceramic material and glaze expand and contract at different rates. When this happens, hair-line cracks can develop, commonly known as crazing. Many things can affect crazing: the age of the product, the number of times it’s been exposed to heating and cooling cycles, water being absorbed in places where there’s no glaze (for example, on the bottom, where it sits in the kiln), and others.
Crazing should not affect the performance of your temp-tations product. However, if it happens after your 30-day return period has ended, we will send you a new piece for free under the terms of the warranty, and you pay only the S&H fee.
Are temp-tations dishes lead-safe?
Temp-tations porcelain, stoneware, china and earthenware products meet all Federal and state government standards for lead safety.
All temp-tations products are tested for lead safety by accredited independent laboratories before they are shipped to the U.S.
Can temp-tations cookware be used on a stove top?
No, temp-tations stoneware should not be used on a stove top or over an open flame.
Can temp-tations cookware pieces go in the dishwasher?
Yes, all temp-tations stoneware is dishwasher safe.
Can temp-tations cookware dishes go in the refrigerator and freezer?
Yes, all temp-tations stoneware and storage covers are refrigerator and freezer safe.
Is it safe to go from the freezer directly to the oven with temp-tations bakeware?
Yes, all temp-tations baking dishes can go from the freezer directly to the oven. However, when doing so, allow your temp-tations baker and your oven to heat up together. (Put the stoneware in an unheated oven, turn on the oven, and allow both to come to desired cooking temperature simultaneously.)
Can temp-tations cookware go in the microwave?
Yes, all temp-tations stoneware is microwave safe.
Is it ok to pre-heat temp-tations bakeware in the oven or microwave when the dish is empty?
No, do not pre-heat your temp-tations bakers in the oven or microwave when empty, as this may cause stress to the stoneware.
How should Lid-It® trays be used in the oven?
When cooking on temp-tations Lid-It trays, it’s important to make sure the food is evenly distributed; otherwise “hot spots” may occur that might damage the stoneware. For example, if you’re cooking only a few servings, choose a smaller Lid-It tray so the food covers it more fully and evenly, instead of a larger Lid-It tray, which would leave more surface area exposed and cause stress to the stoneware.
When hand washing, is it ok to soak temp-tations dishes and bakeware in water?
It’s ok to fill your temp-tations with water and let it soak, but do not fully submerge your temp-tations in a sink full of water. Stoneware absorbs water in places where there’s no glaze (for example, on the bottom, where it sits in the kiln). When the stoneware is then put in the oven, microwave, or freezer, the absorbed water will expand and can cause stress to the stoneware. Please note that temp-tations stoneware is dishwasher safe.
Is it ok to hand wash temp-tations cookware pieces after removal from a hot oven or microwave?
No, do not take a temp-tations baker out of a hot oven or microwave and immerse in water; let the stoneware come to room temperature before washing.
How should tempered glass trivets be cleaned?
It is recommended that you hand wash tempered glass trivets. Do not soak in warm soapy water.
How should the plastic storage covers work?
Temp-tations tab-less storage covers are designed to lightly snap on to cover your dish and allow stacking in the refrigerator or freezer, as well as to help protect your food. If your temp-tations includes “snap-on” covers, they are designed with large tabs to snap on for a snug fit. Due to the nature of stoneware, they will not be air tight or water tight.
Where are the plastic storage covers located in the packaging?
The plastic storage covers are embedded in the foam packaging. Please remove all packaging from the box to find the plastic storage covers.
Can plastic storage covers go in the dishwasher?
Yes, the plastic storage covers can be cleaned on the top rack of your dishwasher.
Can plastic storage covers be used in the oven or microwave?
No, the plastic storage covers should only be used when storing dishes in the refrigerator or freezer.
We do not recommend using the plastic storage covers in the microwave.
Are the plastic storage covers BPA-free?
How should thermal tote bags be cleaned?
Do not machine wash your thermal tote bag. Spot clean with a damp towel and mild soap. Do not use bleach. Your thermal tote bag can be put into the dryer on low. Use an iron on the lowest setting to remove any wrinkles.
Are temp-tations melamine tableware and acrylic drinkware pieces lead-safe?
Yes, temp-tations melamine tableware and acrylic drinkware pieces meet all Federal and state government standards for lead safety.
Are temp-tations melamine tableware and acrylic drinkware pieces BPA-free?

No, temp-tations acrylic drinkware is not intended for use with hot liquids.
Are temp-tations melamine tableware and acrylic drinkware pieces oven and microwave safe?
No, like other melamine and acrylic items, these temp-tations pieces should not be used in ovens and microwaves.
Are temp-tations melamine tableware and acrylic drinkware pieces dishwasher safe?
Yes, it is safe to clean these items in your dishwasher. However, we recommend placing these items on the top rack of your dishwasher only.
Is it OK to clean my temp-tations melamine tableware and acrylic drinkware with abrasive cleaners?
No, do not use abrasive cleaners or abrasive cleaning utensils, as they may cause scratches.
PAINT COLORS & BRUSH STROKES
I’ve noticed that sometimes older temp-tations pieces and newer temp-tations pieces purchased in the same color don’t exactly match. Why is that?
Temp-tations pieces are handcrafted and hand painted, so no two pieces are ever alike. Every effort is made for colors to remain consistent, but because brush strokes vary from piece to piece, slight color variations will occur – making each item unique.
Why are there variations in the painted brush strokes?
Part of the charm of temp-tations is that each piece is unique. Each item is hand painted by artisans; therefore, no two pieces will ever be alike. Variations in brushstrokes will occur, making your set truly one of a kind.
