Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound large shrimp, peeled & de-veined
  • 4 Tbsp butter
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 3-4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 1/2 tsp lime zest
  • 1 lime juiced (need 1/4 cup)
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1-2 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • Hot Cooked Orzo

Directions

      1. Dry shrimp and season with salt & pepper.
      2. In a heavy skillet over medium high heat, melt butter. Add shrimp in a single layer. Brown 2-3 minutes.
      3. Turn shrimp, add garlic, wine, lime juice, zest and red pepper flakes. Sauté for another 2–3 minutes or until shrimp are pink through.  (don’t over-cook the shrimp)
      4. Place cooked orzo in a serving dish, pour shrimp over the orzo, garnish with fresh parsley.
NOTE FROM TARA:  This recipe can be adapted for 2-4 persons if you calculate 4-6 shrimp, depending on size and 1/2 cup orzo per person.
