Buffalo Rotisserie Chicken Dip in Football Baking Dish

INGREDIENTS

For the dip

  • 1 plain rotisserie chicken
  • 16 oz cream cheese
  • ¾ cup hot sauce plus extra few extra tablespoons for topping
  • 2-3 Tbsp melted butter
  • 1 cup ranch dressing
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ⅛ tsp salt
  • 1-2 cups pepper jack cheese, coarsely grated (fresh grated works best)
  • Optional chopped green onion and crushed red pepper flakes for topping

For dipping

  • bell pepper slices
  • celery sticks
  • carrot sticks
  • tortilla chips or crackers

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Set out cream cheese to soften or microwave for 30-60 seconds.
  3. Shred and chop chicken breast and dark meat.
  4. Melt butter and whisk into hot sauce to make a homemade buffalo sauce. Feel free to add extra hot sauce, to taste.
  5. In a Temp-tations baking dish (approx. 9” square or similar), combine chicken, cream cheese, your homemade buffalo sauce, and ranch dressing.
  6. Season with salt and garlic powder, then mix well.
  7. Top with the grated pepper jack cheese. Finally, add a drizzle of extra hot sauce on top if you like to turn up the heat a little extra.
  8. Bake at 350° F for 15-20 minutes.
  9. To add some fancy garnish, top the dip with a sprinkle of crushed red pepper flakes and/or chopped green onion.
