Ingredients

  • 1 Pkg Crescent roll dough
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • 6 Tbsp confectioners sugar, divided
  • ½ tsp almond extract
  •  Cherry Pie Filling
  • 2 tsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Directions

    1. Cream together the cream cheese and 1/4 cup confectioners sugar.
    2. Unwrap dough but DO NOT unroll it.
    3. With a very sharp knife cut the roll of dough into 8 slices
    4. Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper and place dough rounds 2” apart
    5. With a drinking glass, flatten the center of each round, leaving an edge.
    6. In a small bowl mix the cream cheese, 3 tablespoons confectioners sugar and almond extract until smooth.
    7. Evenly place a dollop of cream cheese in the center of each roll, spreading out towards the edge.   Top each with at least 1 tablespoon Cherry Pie filling.
    8. Bake in a 375 degree oven 12–15 minutes.
    9. When cooled, mix 3 tablespoons confectioners sugar with 2 teaspoons milk and drizzle over Danish.
